About Odell: Our People
David W. Lear
Vice President, Senior Art Director
Dave is the driving force behind Odell’s creative strategy
development and implementation. In addition, he is responsible
for
overseeing all aspects of design for print, branding and interactive
applications.
He joined the Odell team in the 1980s. Prior to joining the agency,
Lear served his country in the Navy and also with the 2/26 Marines
in Viet Nam during 1969 – 1970.
Dave resides in North Canton. His son, Michael caught the advertising
bug from Dad and now works as Creative Director for the Martin Agency
in Richmond, VA.
Johanna Koerber
Financial Manager
As Financial Manager, Johanna’s responsibilities include all
aspects of financial management for the firm including accounts
payable and receivables management, reporting and financial planning.
Prior to her appointment at Odell she was Assistant to the Controller
at ICI Networks and also worked with the Akron Board of Education.
Johanna is currently working toward her Associate of Applied Business
degree in Accounting – CPA option at Stark State University,
where she is a Dean’s List student.
Johanna resides in Hartville with her three children.
Dane Llewellyn
Manager - Photography & Electronic
Imaging
Dane brings to the firm an eclectic group of skills and talents.
Tapping in his expertise as a photographer, he is responsible for
managing Odell’s in-house photography studio, image editing
and retouching. In addition, Dane’s responsibilities include
computer graphic production, computer support along with media buying.
In 1988, Dane earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing
from Kent State University.
Dane resides in Hartville with his wife, Lisa, and their two children.
Neil Tortorella
Senior Account Manager
Neil brings with him over 30 years experience as an award-winning
graphic designer, writer and marketing consultant. Prior to joining
Odell, he operated his own design practice, Tortorella Design, launched
in 1986. His responsibilities include managing existing client projects,
new business development, copywriting, as well as web design and
development.
Tortorella is a co-founder and management team member of CreativeLatitude.com,
a popular web site and resource for creatives and the clients they
serve. Neil is also an avid writer on marketing, promotion and business
topics. His writing has been widely published on the Internet and
in HOW Magazine,
a leading graphic design trade publication. He authors a popular
blog, “Inside
the Marketing Mind.” His writing can also be found on
BoDo – Business
of Design online, where he’s a founding team partner and
author of the Marketing Minute.
Tortorella is featured in the book, The
Savvy Designer’s Guide to Success, by Jeff Fisher, published
by HOW Design Books, Cincinnati, OH and in Creatively
Self Employed, by Kristen Fisher.
He resides in North Canton.
